Financial Inclusion Officer 

Gateshead

Salary:
£24,150 per annum pro-rata

The band goes up to £27,038 per annum, however, this is dependent on annual performance reviews.

Part time role:
14 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM with some flexibility to meet the requirements of the poss
(12 month initial fixed term contract with potential for extension subject to funding being secured)

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Financial Inclusion Officer to join our Aspire Team

You will be working as part of the Changing Futures team to provide personalised financial capability support to people engaging with the project.  You will provide support to help to access bank accounts, assist with welfare benefit applications and income maximisation, signposting for debt advice, delivering education work to improve individual confidence and financial capability, including household budgeting in order to support independent living and tenancy sustainment.

 

Changing Futures is a four-year, £64 million programme that seeks to test new ways of working across the public sector and community sector to improve outcomes for individuals, services and the system in relation to multiple disadvantage. This work has a focus on working with individuals experiencing disadvantage including (and not limited to) addiction, mental health, involvement in the criminal justice system, domestic abuse and homelessness.
