Project Team Leader for Young Peoples Supported Accommodation
Gateshead
Starting Salary: £32,126 per annum plus additional on call allowance of £20 per night, £25 per night for weekends and Bank Holidays.
Hours: Full time, working 37 hours per week, 9am – 5pm Monday-Friday, though may vary, and include occasional anti-social working (evenings, weekends and bank holidays) as determined by the needs of the projects.

Our Young Person’s Service provides support to 13 young people within Gateshead:
- 7 Bed Supported Accommodation staffed Monday to Sunday (days) for young people aged 18 –21 with medium needs.
- 6 Bed Supported Accommodation staffed Monday to Sunday (days) for Young People aged 18 –21 with medium needs.
Our properties are places of safety, Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE), from which we work with children and young people using person-led, holistic, trauma-informed and solution-focused approaches. We aim to provide accommodation and support that helps children and young people find self-worth and the belief that they deserve a better future, supporting them in safe, positive transitions including, where relevant, from care into more independent accommodation, and from childhood to adulthood; providing holistic support to gain essential life skills, achieve health outcomes, to realise and achieve their aspirations, and reach their full potential.
To join us you will need to demonstrate experience and understanding of the needs of children and young people, especially those leaving the care system and experiencing homelessness, including related issues of mental ill-health, trauma, abuse, alcohol and substance use and offending.
You will need to provide day to day oversight of Oasis Community Housing’s Gateshead Young People’s Supported Housing Projects. The Project Team Leader will hold responsibility for line management of the Service Team, for Safeguarding, Health and Safety, the delivery of holistic support provision to those living across the service, and monitoring and oversight of the provision. To lead the team in effective and close partnership working with Commissioners, Housing, Health and other relevant partners, and to provide leadership within the service, in line with organisational ethos and values.
To work closely with Oasis Community Housing senior leaders, and external partners to ensure a positive transition as existing projects come to an end and we prepare for new ones to open.
