No.3 is our Peckham homeless project; one of our supported accommodation projects for young women who are facing homelessness. This 16 bed property offers round-the-clock support to 16 – 21 years old from across Southwark, London. Young women like Skye*.

Skye* came to live with us at Oasis Community Housing following a serious breakdown in her relationship with her mum because of Skye’s sexual identity.

Skye’s mum asked her to leave home, and her mum also stopped her from contacting her younger brother – shutting her off from the rest of her family.

In spite of everything Skye has faced, she always has a smile on her face – and has settled in really well at No.3.

Since starting living at No.3, Skye has begun a design course at college and lent her creativity to design our charity’s e-Christmas cards this last year.

She is currently working towards her move on and, in the meantime, she has settled well in semi-independent accommodation.

She recently applied for a one-year media and music apprenticeship with Warner Bros and made it to the last group of 10 people to be selected for the final phase. Our staff are confident that she will be successful as she is very committed and driven to achieving high. We wish Skye every luck!
