Giving a Home
354,000 people have no warm, safe place to call home this Christmas.
Your gift can change that. For someone like Martin, who, after 23 years of rough sleeping, found a home and hope to look forward again.
Every donation makes a life-changing difference. Give today and help in giving a home this Christmas.
Today our teams are working harder than ever to give people a home; to deliver the support that so many people rely on every day and the chance for people to rebuild their lives.

Other ways to help in giving a home this Christmas
Double your donation
Thanks to match funding from the ‘Big Week’, every donation made to our Christmas Appeal between 2 and 9 December will be doubled! At no extra cost to you. How amazing is that: one donation, twice the impact!
Hold a Christmas Jumper Day
Gather colleagues, family or friends and hold a Big Christmas Jumper Day in aid of people facing homelessness. If you pay in your donation during Big Give Week (2 – 9 December), it will be doubled at no extra cost to you.
Get your workplace, school or church involved
There are so many ways to support your local homelessness charity this Christmas – from making a donation, holding a fundraiser, volunteering or getting involved in Gingerbread Street – our Fundraising team would love to hear from you.
Join us on Gingerbread Street
A miniature community made from gingerbread will appear at The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle, from 3 December 2025.
This free exhibition of biscuity buildings aims to raise awareness of homelessness and the sense of community that helps everyone feel they have a place to belong.
Gingerbread Street is built by teams from local businesses and community groups, and is kindly supported by Lovell Homes, Greggs and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
Your donation of £24.68 provides an outreach pack with food, warm clothing and essentials for someone sleeping rough. Helping open the door to safety, support and a fresh start.
Your donations of £56.80 could pay for a counselling session for someone who has suffered domestic abuse – someone like Amy who is rebuilding her life after abuse.
Donating £75 could help someone make a house a home; providing a settling in pack with bedding, kitchenware and essentials for someone like Martin moving off the streets into a safe place of their own.
