Communications and Campaigns Manager (Maternity Cover)

Gateshead

Salary:

£29,400 pro-rata per annum

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (Over 3 days, between Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm) with some flexibility to meet the requirements of the role.

About the Role:

Oasis Community Housing is a Christian homelessness charity based in Gateshead, with projects across North East England and South London. We help more than 1,300 people every year by providing housing, specialised support and, more fundamentally, a place where they feel they belong.

We are seeking a dynamic communications all-rounder to lead our external communications and campaigns for 12 months’ to cover maternity leave.

You will be joining the charity at an exciting time, as we embark on our ambitious new strategy, which aims to widen our reach and amplify our impact for men, women and vulnerable families facing homelessness.

You’ll build our online, social media and PR presence to drive brand awareness, engagement and understanding. You’ll develop and deliver our advocacy profile with key decision-makers and supporters using a range of tactics to create a momentum for change. You will line manage our Communications Co-ordinator. You will also input into own internal communications strategy.

You’ll have excellent communication planning skills and a talent for building relationships with colleagues and partners at all levels. The successful candidate will be passionate about bringing hope to people facing homelessness, telling life-changing stories and creating change for some of the most vulnerable people in society.
