An epic new charity challenge event has launched, offering South England businesses the chance to compete, raise vital funds for charity and take home the custom-made ‘Origin Challenge Trophy’ – crafted by silversmiths to His Majesty the King, Thomas Lyte.

The London Challenge Event officially  launched to a roomful of partners and business people at headline sponsor, Origin Doors and Windows facility in Bicester.

Be part of something powerful

The new charity challenge event, organised by homelessness charity Oasis Community Housing, invites teams from businesses across London and the South to take on bold challenges – from marathons and skydives to international treks – to raise vital funds and make a life-changing difference to people facing homelessness. Teams can choose any challenge, or range of challenges they wish.

At The London Challenge Event launch, Oasis Community Housing’s Philanthropy and Partnerships Lead, Mike Salt, showcased the Origin Challenge Trophy (pictured above, with Origin’s Victoria Brocklesby); a 16-inch bespoke silver trophy, handcrafted by world-renowned FA Cup and Six Nations trophy makers, Thomas Lyte.

The Origin Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the team that not only completes their challenge, but raises the most funds to support people facing homelessness.

During the launch, Ben Brocklesby, Origin Doors and Windows’ Sales and Marketing Director, said: “We’re delighted to support Oasis Community Housing in launching the charity’s first ever London Challenge Event.

“The charity does an amazing job, in the North and the South of England … working within a community that desperately needs our help and support.”

Oasis Community Housing’s Mike Salt added: “The London Challenge Trophy is an incredibly special event, where like-minded teams can come together to bring hope to tens of hundreds of people facing homelessness.

“With hard work, perseverance and dedication, the challenge team raising the most for Oasis Community Housing will win the Origin Challenge Trophy, handcrafted by the King’s silversmith Thomas Lyte.

“Every one of the generous and committed teams taking part will play a vital role in our mission to bring hope to those who really need it and journey with people out of homelessness.”

Rally your team

Hot off the blocks, teams already registered for the event include GAP Home Improvements, The Ivy Collection and independent business women – the ‘Fly-onesses’ (in a nod to the Lionesses Euro win) who will be taking on a skydive with The Skydive Centre.

Oasis Community Housing has been bringing hope to men, women and young people facing homelessness for more than 40 years and, this past year alone, has had over 30,000 interactions with individuals in crisis, offering vital support, safety and a pathway forwards.

All funds raised from The London Challenge Event will go to Oasis Community Housing’s work with people facing homelessness across North East and South East England.
