Sarah joined Oasis Community Housing as our CEO in November 2025.

Sarah’s passion for supporting people on their journey out of homelessness – as well as homelessness prevention – came from her first role, working at a church in central London alongside people experiencing homelessness.

When Sarah moved to the North East, she became one of Oasis Community Housing’s (then known as Aquila Way) first frontline workers and helped establish many of its early projects. Now, after 15 years of life-changing work at Edbert’s House, Sarah returns with her expertise and experience as the charity’s Chief Executive Officer.

Sarah has been married for 35 years and has 4 wonderful grown-up children. She lives in Gateshead and loves baking, sewing, and knitting, walking along the beautiful North-East coastline and is learning Spanish. She is also an avid Archers fan and hasn’t missed an episode for many years!
